Potted history of battalion:

Probably with D Company, 7th Battalion, Royal West Kents and taken prisoner during the attack on Desire and Grand court Trenches on 17 November 1916, in the closing phases of the Somme offensive.

Medal condition:

Very Fine, some loss to gilding through rubbing. On grubby length of original ribbon.
