First posting to Divisional Ammunition Column as Gunner, 16 May 1916. Appointed Acting Bombardier with 34th DAC 20 April 1917, later Paid Lance Bombardier. Appointed Gunner (Paid Acting Bombardier) 12 January 1919, then Paid Acting Corporal 2 February 1919. Posted to the Dispersal Centre at Ripon April 1919. Sunderland resident (8 Noble Street), a plater.
